Front-End Developer

In this role and as part of the company's technology team, the front-end developer will be responsible for implementing visual elements that users see and interact within a web application, bringing to life UI/UX design wireframes into actual website code.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write well designed, scalable, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
  • Development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create responsive web design front ends
  • Create, modify & update web site layout/user interface by using best practices and optimize for speed and usability
  • Able to debug and optimize cross-browser and platform web applications, for desktop and mobile
  • Knowledge and passion for design and UX principles of web and mobile interfaces, balancing functional and aesthetic design
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Create and maintain software documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous working experience as a PHP Developer
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar relevant field
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
  • Proficient in PHP, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery Expert
  • Experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Symfony, Kohana, CodeIgniter, Zend, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Hands on Angular, couchDB and/or MongoDB
  • Excellent relational database skills with MySQL
  • Experience with building restful JSON web services
  • Knowledge of API's, such as twitter, Facebook, Google maps, Instagram, etc.
  • Understanding of responsive design frameworks such as bootstrap
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
